Position Overview:

The role involves collaborating closely with Design Engineers to create tooling and engineered systems that enhance ICG operations, ultimately delivering services to a diverse corporate clientele. The individual will engage with various departments including engineering, inventory, fabrication, and paint and body, aiming to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the manufacturing and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:

1. The individual will be expected to relay significant production concerns to engineering teams, including identifying issues and proposing solutions.

2. Active participation in the design process is essential, with a focus on communicating technical concepts and suggested modifications through appropriate channels.

3. The role includes assisting with material procurement in line with purchase specifications, quality standards, delivery timelines, warranty considerations, and plant service support, ensuring that material needs are communicated effectively.

4. The individual will review product designs to ensure they align with economical production practices and comply with engineering principles, organizational standards, customer contract stipulations, and relevant specifications.

5. Responsibilities also include monitoring project modifications, updating, and generating construction schedules in coordination with project or engineering management.

6. A thorough understanding of corporate safety standards is crucial, as the individual will integrate these standards into both equipment design and operational instructions.

7. The role may require assisting with fabrication, vendor coordination, and equipment assembly as necessary.

Additional Duties:

1. This position may involve occasional visits to customer job sites to assess tooling and equipment requirements, as well as collaboration with the Corporate training department to educate staff on the operational features of new tools and equipment. Engagement with marketing and sales teams regarding the introduction and promotion of new service capabilities developed through innovative tooling and cleaning systems is also expected. Given the nature of the business, flexibility in working hours and travel to various job site locations may be required.

2. Periodic travel to customer facilities for field assessments and outage support will be necessary to assist corporate operations teams.

Required Experience:

1. Experience in machining and mechanical assembly related to the manufacturing of mechanical systems and integrated electronic controls.

2. Strong technical and mechanical skills that contribute to innovative ideas for tooling and equipment development, focusing on productivity and safety enhancements within ICG Operations.

3. Ability to create sketches and written descriptions of mechanical devices and system concepts for manufacturing purposes.

4. Proficiency in all MS Office applications is expected.

5. Familiarity with water blast cleaning services is preferred.

6. Knowledge of mechanical codes and compliance standards.

7. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
