Job Title: Junior Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Responsibilities & Summary:

  • Manage various elements of document management processes, including the creation and maintenance of training files for employees to ensure organization, completeness, and currency, including annual continuing education requirements.
  • Oversee the off-site document storage process, which involves archiving documents, retrieving them as needed, and maintaining an organized indexing system.
  • Develop and maintain electronic records of physical documents for retention purposes.
  • Assist in managing the supplier qualification process and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
  • Support and lead internal audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Review and dispatch external notifications to clients concerning infectious disease results.
  • Coordinate and maintain records related to data loggers for temperature monitoring programs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, projects, and the development of new processes as assigned.
  • Participate in audits and inspections conducted by regulatory and accrediting agencies as required.
  • Ability to function effectively within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with 4+ years of quality assurance/control experience in a regulated manufacturing or medical service environment.
  • OR Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Background in quality assurance.
  • Experience in customer service or technical support, along with familiarity with automated databases and electronic document management systems.

Physical Requirements & Expectations:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Effectively manage conflicts and stressful situations in a timely manner.
  • Primary working conditions will be in an office environment.
  • Occasional cross-functional collaboration may require entering laboratory or materials storage areas, which may have varying conditions.
  • Extended use of computers and keyboards.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials and biological substances.
