Key Responsibilities- Perform Visual and Dimensional Inspections: Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical products using hand and automated inspection tools.
- Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings: Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Operate Hand and Automated Inspection Tools: Operate hand inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, and automated inspection tools, such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Collect and Process Inspection Data: Collect and process inspection data using computer software and tools.
- Support Quality System Initiatives: Support quality system initiatives, including planning and completing first articles.
- Participate in Team Meetings: Participate in team meetings and effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Minimum of 3-5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role.
- Knowledge of Hand and Automated Inspection Equipment: Knowledge of and experience with hand and automated inspection equipment.
- Computer Literacy: Computer literacy and ability to process inspection data in a timely manner.
- Quality Experience in Aerospace or Related Industry: One year or more quality experience working in an aerospace, military, or related mechanical product facility.
- Associate's Degree in Science: Two-year associate's degree in science or a related field.
- High School Education or Equivalent: High school education or equivalent, with significant positive experience with quality initiatives.
- Independence and Reliability: Ability to perform work with little or no supervision and be trusted regarding task completion and follow-up.
- Creativity and Initiative: Ability to propose ideas, find new and better ways of doing things, and seek out additional assignments and assume additional duties when necessary.
- Adherence to Policy: Ability to follow safety and conduct rules and other regulations, and adhere to all company policies and rules.
- Teamwork: Ability to cooperate, work, and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, subordinates, and outside contacts.
- GD&T: Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Quality Inspection Experience: Experience with quality inspection and quality control processes.
- PPAP Process Experience: Experience with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- AS9100 Experience: Experience with the AS9100 quality management system.
$22 - $28 per hour
