Position Overview:

The role involves collaborating closely with Design Engineers to create tooling and engineered systems that enhance ICG operations, ultimately serving our corporate clientele. The candidate will engage with various departments, including engineering, inventory, fabrication, and paint and body, to maximize quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the manufacturing and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Actively communicate significant production challenges and propose solutions through engineering channels.

2. Maintain involvement in the design process, articulating technical concepts and suggested modifications through appropriate communication pathways.

3. Assist in material procurement, ensuring adherence to purchase specifications, quality standards, delivery timelines, warranty provisions, and plant service support. Communicate material needs effectively.

4. Evaluate product designs for cost-effective manufacturing practices and compliance with engineering principles, organizational standards, customer contract stipulations, and relevant specifications.

5. Track project modifications, updating and generating construction schedules in collaboration with project or engineering management.

6. Uphold and promote corporate safety standards in both equipment design and operational instructions.

7. Provide support in fabrication, vendor coordination, and equipment assembly as required.

Additional Duties:

1. Engage with ICG operations to assess customer job site tooling and equipment requirements. Collaborate with the Corporate training department to educate staff on the operational features of new tools and equipment. Work alongside marketing and sales to introduce and promote new service capabilities developed through innovative tooling and cleaning systems.

2. Conduct field surveys and outage support at customer facilities as necessary to assist corporate operations teams.

Required Experience:

1. A minimum of years in machining and mechanical assembly, particularly in the manufacturing of mechanical systems and integrated electronic controls.

2. Strong technical and mechanical skills that translate into constructive ideas for tooling and equipment development aimed at enhancing productivity and safety in ICG Operations.

3. Ability to create sketches and written descriptions of mechanical devices and system concepts for manufacturing purposes.

4. Proficiency in all MS Office applications is essential.

5. Experience in water blast cleaning services is preferred.

6. Familiarity with mechanical codes and compliance standards.

7. Strong professional oral and written communication skills.
