Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team as a Precision Parts Specialist. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will play a critical role in programming, setting up, and operating CNC Mazak lathes to produce high-quality precision parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC Mazak lathes to produce precision parts
• Review job specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to ensure accurate production
• Create and test unique programs to optimize manufacturing processes
• Modify existing programs to improve efficiency and quality
• Setup and operate machines to produce parts within required tolerances
• Conduct quality checks on completed work product to ensure compliance with specifications
• Troubleshoot quality issues and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Uphold safety, compliance, and quality standards in the workplace
• Ensure a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in CNC Lathe Machining
• Preferred experience with Mazak 5-axis Integrex
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of machining properties of various materials
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments
• Experience with MRP systems for accurate job reporting
• Ability to train and mentor other employees

Working Environment

The CNC Machinist will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, and equipment. The noise level in the working environment is often loud, and the use of personal protective equipment is required.

Mental and Physical Requirements

The CNC Machinist must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of temperatures. The physical and mental demands of the job require attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a team environment.
