Junior Engineering Associate

Position Overview:
The role involves collaborating closely with Design Engineers to create tooling and engineered systems that enhance ICG operations, ensuring effective service delivery to our corporate clientele. The incumbent will liaise with various departments including engineering, inventory, fabrication, and paint and body to maximize quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the manufacturing and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage in effective communication regarding key production challenges with engineering teams, including identifying problems and proposing viable solutions.
2. Maintain active involvement in the design process, articulating technical concepts and suggested modifications through appropriate channels.
3. Assist in material procurement, ensuring adherence to purchase specifications, quality standards, delivery timelines, warranty provisions, and plant service support, while effectively communicating material needs.
4. Evaluate product designs for manufacturability, ensuring compliance with engineering principles, organizational standards, customer contract stipulations, and relevant specifications.
5. Track project modifications, updating and generating construction schedules in alignment with project or engineering management.
6. Understand and promote corporate safety standards in both equipment design and operational guidelines.
7. Support fabrication efforts, vendor coordination, and equipment assembly as necessary.
Additional Duties:
1. Collaborate with ICG operations to assess customer job site needs for tooling and equipment. Work alongside the Corporate training department to educate employees on the operational features of new tools and equipment. Engage with marketing and sales teams regarding the introduction and promotion of new service capabilities developed through innovative tooling and cleaning systems.
2. Conduct periodic travel to customer facilities for field assessments and outage support to assist corporate operations.

Required Skills and Experience:
1. Relevant experience in machining and mechanical assembly within the manufacturing of mechanical systems and integrated electronic controls.
2. Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, contributing constructive ideas for tooling and equipment development aimed at enhancing productivity and safety in ICG Operations.
3. Ability to create sketches and detailed descriptions of mechanical devices and system concepts for manufacturing purposes.
4. Proficiency in all MS Office applications is essential.
5. Familiarity with water blast cleaning services is preferred.
6. Knowledge of mechanical codes and compliance standards.
7. Strong professional communication skills, both oral and written.
