Lead Technical Program Manager, Kuiper Enterprise Solutions
Project Kuiper is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing global broadband connectivity through a network of 3,236 satellites positioned in low Earth orbit (LEO).

Its objective is to provide rapid and cost-effective broadband services to communities that are currently unserved or underserved worldwide.

By bridging the digital divide, Project Kuiper seeks to deliver high-speed, affordable internet access to a diverse clientele, including individuals, businesses, governmental bodies, and organizations operating in areas lacking reliable connectivity.

The Project Kuiper team is in search of a Lead Technical Program Manager with comprehensive system integration expertise across satellite, cellular, ground systems, and user terminals for enterprise-managed network services.

This role will engage with cross-functional engineering teams, program/product management, business development, and enterprise clients to facilitate initial on-site evaluations, technical onboarding, and acceptance testing for Kuiper enterprise preview clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and business development leaders to strategize and implement technical onboarding and acceptance testing for Kuiper Satellite Services provided to enterprise and governmental clients.

Establish the system integration and acceptance framework for Kuiper Enterprise Preview clients, encompassing telco backhaul, industrial IoT, corporate enterprises, and government entities.

Partner with Kuiper engineering leads, product/program management, AWS, partner ecosystem, and end-customer IT/technology network teams to ensure that system acceptance testing and validation align with scheduled timelines and quality standards.

Work alongside system architecture, solution architecture, hardware, and software teams to ensure that cross-functional deliverables are identified and monitored.

Develop best practices, processes, and tools for system integration to ensure that solution architecture and deployment can be effectively documented, automated, and scaled for additional enterprise and governmental clients worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BSEE and/or Computer Science degree with a focus on wireless communications, or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
5+ years of hands-on experience managing intricate wireless technology deployments.
5+ years of direct collaboration with engineering teams, specifically in satellite or cellular technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters/PhD in Wireless Communications Systems.

5+ years of experience working directly with enterprise or governmental clients, leading complex end-to-end system integration and on-site wireless service delivery projects.

5+ years of software development experience.

Experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, establishing trust with stakeholders, and coordinating wireless service development milestones, launch criteria, and schedules across internal engineering and third-party partner ecosystems.

Certifications and/or relevant hands-on experience in deploying cloud-native applications and microservices for enterprise IT workloads, preferably on AWS.

Comprehensive understanding of telco backhaul requirements, including L2/L3 transport and system integration with existing OSS/BSS systems.

Strong RF expertise with practical experience in managing site surveys, evaluating link budget/SINR, signal interference, and making trade-offs between indoor and outdoor setups, as well as spectrum management and coordination with other wireless systems.

In-depth knowledge and practical experience with device networking software stacks, troubleshooting, and call flows, including related protocols for cell (spot) acquisition, RACH, registration, mobility, and data session establishment.

Detailed understanding of managed network services for enterprise and government, including the integration of satellite and terrestrial networks.

Extensive knowledge of wireless technologies – Satellite Payloads, Ground Systems and Operations, 2G/3G/4G/5G, Packet Core and RAN, Data Plane vs Control Plane, VoIP, Emergency Services, and 3GPP Standards.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon operates as a total compensation company.

Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
