Position Summary: The Human Resources Specialist plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of the People and Culture Department. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including assisting management and staff with inquiries related to talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll processing, employee relations, and benefits management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition:
    Manage the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews. Ensure job advertisements reach a wide audience through various platforms.
  • Onboarding:
    Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and personnel files are maintained accurately.
  • Benefits Administration:
    Support the management of employee benefits programs, assisting staff in understanding their options and guiding them through the enrollment process.
  • Payroll Support:
    Assist in payroll preparation and processing, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Employee Relations:
    Engage with employees to address concerns and foster a positive workplace culture. Participate in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources or a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Preferred Skills:

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Experience in a luxury hotel or high-end service environment.
