Position Summary: The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the People and Culture Department. Key responsibilities encompass assisting management and staff with inquiries related to talent acquisition, onboarding processes, payroll management, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition:
    Manage job postings and track candidate applications. Collaborate with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, including conducting initial screening interviews. Ensure job advertisements reach various platforms and monitor applications from those sources.
  • Onboarding:
    Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and maintained accurately.
  • Benefits Administration:
    Assist in managing employee benefits programs, providing guidance on options and enrollment processes. Conduct regular communications regarding benefits updates and support employees in understanding their choices.
  • Payroll Support:
    Assist in payroll preparation and processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Collaborate with finance to address any discrepancies.
  • Employee Relations:
    Support the management team in addressing employee concerns and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
