Associate Medical Director

Parkland Health seeks a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical aspects of our healthcare services, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve requests for prior authorization and appeals, ensuring that medical necessity is met.
- Provide clinical oversight for utilization management, disease management, and quality management activities.
- Develop and implement medical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with managed care and Parkland Health policies.
- Collaborate with our pharmacy team to oversee and administer the pharmacy benefit for our members.
- Participate in the development and implementation of annual goals and objectives for Parkland Health.
- Represent Parkland Health on clinical activities with relevant state and local bodies.
- Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency in an appropriate specialty.
- At least five years of clinical practice experience in a specialty relevant to the care of Parkland Health members.
- Experience in the development of medical policies, procedures, and programs is preferred.
- Qualifications to perform clinical oversight for the services provided by Parkland Health, including education, training, or professional experience in medical or clinical practice.
- Past participation in a managed care utilization management committee is preferred.
- Experience in the care of populations relevant to the Parkland Health population or managed care.
