Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Sales Representative specializing in Renewable Energy, focusing on the promotion and sale of our Solar and Electric Vehicle (EV) products and services. This role involves engaging with existing clients and exploring new business opportunities within domestic markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify key accounts with significant potential for sales growth.
  • Understand the buying influences within these accounts.
  • Establish and maintain account coverage for identified clients.
  • Conduct regular and effective sales meetings with key decision-makers.
  • Manage product trials and demonstrations to showcase our offerings.
  • Coordinate participation in trade shows, including lead management and follow-up.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints regarding our products or services.
  • Support the finance team by reaching out to overdue customer accounts as necessary.
  • Foster strong relationships with distributor sales networks.
  • Assist in identifying and exploring new product opportunities with clients.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Research & Engineering to address market or product concerns.
  • Monitor expenses and manage product samples effectively.
  • Provide sales forecasts as needed.
  • Communicate updates through timely reports on trips or territory developments.
  • Gain insights into the markets served by PLP and how our products are utilized by customers.
  • Travel and collaborate with other sales personnel to enhance understanding of product promotion and sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; sales training or a college degree is preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven field sales experience, preferably in outside plant construction or engineering related to our market.
  • Proficient in using computers and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time.
