Renewable Energy Sales Consultant

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Sales Representative focused on Renewable Energy, specifically in the Solar and Electric Vehicle sectors. This role involves engaging with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities within domestic markets. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of our offerings and the marketing strategies associated with them, alongside relevant sales experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify key accounts with significant potential for sales growth.
- Understand the buying influences within these accounts.
- Establish a coverage plan for the targeted accounts.
- Conduct regular and effective sales meetings with decision-makers.
- Organize product trials and demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
- Manage activities at trade shows, including lead collection and follow-up.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints regarding our products and services.
- Support the finance team by reaching out to overdue customer accounts as necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with distributor sales networks.
- Assist in identifying and exploring new product opportunities with clients.
- Collaborate with Product Management and R&E to address market or product concerns raised by customers.
- Monitor and manage expenses related to travel and product samples.
- Provide sales forecasts as required.
- Deliver timely reports on travel and territory updates.
- Gain insights into the markets served by PLP and how our products are utilized by customers.
- Travel and collaborate with fellow sales team members to enhance knowledge of PLP's promotional and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; sales training or a college degree is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of proven success in field sales, with experience in outside plant construction or engineering relevant to our markets.
- Proficient in using computers and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time.
