This position reports to

Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will have the chance to enhance service sales processes, identify service sales opportunities, and secure profitable sales within the assigned territories. Your daily focus will be on Installed Base (IB) penetration and promoting the complete Service product portfolio. You will demonstrate your expertise by cultivating long-term customer relationships and ensuring prompt responses to specific customer needs and concerns. The work model for this role is hybrid. This position contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Penetrating into IB, advocating various upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions that benefit both customers and ABB.
• Understanding the channel strategy, establishing related pricing, preparing sales plans, reviewing them, and proposing recovery plans when necessary.
• Generating service sales leads and developing new market opportunities by leveraging market trend information and identifying potential new service portfolios.
• Acting as a marketer/salesperson for ABB's service products and solutions during marketing initiatives (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
• Driving growth in Service project business for evolutions, upgrades, expansions, and digital solutions.
• Providing consulting expertise to customers, explaining ABB technologies, and generating new leads for sales pursuits aligned with customer needs.
• Conducting site assessments, reviewing existing technologies, and determining optimal methods for technology evolution, including installation and re-commissioning.
• Developing and managing demonstration systems that you will present directly to customers.
• Estimated travel is 40%

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business administration, or a technical field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with automation systems.
  • Knowledge of automation system components, client/server architectures (IT, OT, Digital is a plus).
  • Experience working at industry sites, conducting plant assessments, and maintaining safety is advantageous.
  • Experience in preparing estimates for proposals.
  • Experience in Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Project Leadership.
  • Candidates must already possess work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the US.
