About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Portfolio Manager to join our Renewable Energy Finance team at Huntington National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the underwriting and portfolio management of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze financial statements and engineering reports to identify key risks and opportunities.
  • Assist senior bankers with loan structuring and pricing, and prepare extensive written credit analysis.
  • Provide analytical and underwriting support during the origination and execution of new lending opportunities.
  • Review loan documentation and due diligence materials to ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures.
  • Develop relationships and credibility with key internal constituents, including clients, relationship managers, and credit department personnel.
  • Support primary portfolio managers in maintaining accurate risk ratings, executing amendments, and preparing monitoring materials.
  • Assist with the training, development, and work review of analysts.
  • Monitor and evaluate ongoing compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics with at least two courses in accounting.
  • 2-4 years' experience in an underwriting or commercial banking environment with a focus on project finance transactions in power and infrastructure projects.
  • Competence in financial modeling and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
