Job Summary

Recology is seeking a highly skilled Regional Safety Manager to oversee the planning, direction, and implementation of occupational safety and health and fleet safety programs across multiple subsidiary companies. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning, direction, and implementation of occupational safety and health and fleet safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and corporate requirements.
  • Develop and implement methods to identify, evaluate, and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Investigate accidents to establish facts related to their causation and prevent recurrences.
  • Ensure timely reporting of workers' compensation and liability claims to the appropriate Third Party Administrator (TPA).
  • Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and hourly employees to ensure safety training and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in occupational safety program management.
  • Knowledge of personnel training, supervision, and evaluation principles.
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning, and budgeting.
  • Understanding of technical and professional principles, practices, laws, and regulations related to safety.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
