Regional Sales Executive at Pilz Automation Safety, L.P.

The Regional Sales Executive is accountable to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the assigned territory. This position focuses on discovering and recommending new distribution partners while nurturing existing relationships.

Role Overview:

  • Oversees the Washington, Oregon, and northern California area. Preferred candidate located near Portland, OR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance Pilz distribution sales channel by:
    • Establishing robust connections with Pilz distributors
    • Delivering sales presentations at distributor venues and industry events
    • Educating distributors on Pilz products
    • Boosting sales within the assigned territory
    • Traveling to support distributors and participate in joint sales calls
    • Identifying new sales prospects
    • Acting as a representative for distributors within Pilz Automation Safety, L.P.
    • Ensuring exceptional customer experiences
    • Collaborating with the Channel Sales Manager to onboard new distributors
    • Assisting distributors with annual renewal processes
    • Redirecting accounts outside direct sales parameters to suitable resources
  • Support direct accounts by concentrating sales efforts on key targets
  • Meet reporting obligations, including updating CRM systems, providing reports to RSM/CSM, and formulating annual sales forecasts
  • Be a vital part of the sales team by contributing to sales initiatives across various regions and territories
  • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years in technical automation sales or equivalent experience
  • Preferred technical degree, such as Electrical Engineering
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 4 days per week
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable presenting to large audiences
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently
  • Desire to learn about Pilz products
