Role Overview: This position is pivotal in leading and supporting the production and maintenance teams within our facilities, ensuring effective coordination of resources and activities related to control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical assistance for all control systems, including Allen Bradley and Rockwell equipment.
  • Oversee the management of software and hardware systems linked to Rockwell equipment, Wonderware Systems, EIT, and Shop Floor Ethernet Systems.
  • Maintain an inventory of testing equipment for the plant.
  • Specify, bid, select, and procure necessary equipment and services for projects, ensuring timely implementation with minimal disruption to production.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Prepare Capital Appropriation Requests for new initiatives, maintaining project documentation and monitoring costs against the budget.
  • Support the plant's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Systems by actively participating in Electrical Safety and QSA Calibrations.
  • Facilitate training for maintenance and operators on control functions for newly installed equipment and systems.
  • Develop innovative solutions to address routine and persistent challenges.
  • Manage electrical power, control, and programming systems, ensuring compliance with PepsiCo, NEC, NFPA, and local standards.
  • Utilize application software to accurately interpret and report performance metrics.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives by implementing projects that reduce electricity consumption.
  • Engage with the plant's TPM Planned Maintenance and Early Management Pillars to develop and implement TPM systems.
  • Mentor mechanics in troubleshooting and programming on a daily basis.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this role is between $68,000 - $113,850, based on a full-time schedule.
  • Salary will be determined based on location, job-related skills, and experience.
  • Performance-based bonuses are available, with a target payout of 10% of annual salary.
  • Eligible employees receive paid time off, including parental leave, vacation, sick leave, and bereavement.

Qualifications:

  • A 4-year Technical Degree is preferred, with a strong electrical background.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in plant electrical applications, including Wonderware, A-B PLCs, Drives, Ethernet communications, and HMI programming.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining and upgrading software and programming systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including written and oral presentation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills in planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Self-motivated with proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Leadership and management skills are essential.
