Position Overview

The Senior Automation Engineer will take the lead in executing engineering tasks that are intricate and diverse, requiring a high level of problem-solving, data analysis, and the creation of innovative methods or procedures tailored to various scenarios. This role focuses on the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing techniques aimed at optimizing costs and enhancing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Directs multiple engineering projects to establish and execute production and processing methodologies that adhere to quality benchmarks while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  2. Acts as a communication bridge between the engineering team and production units.
  3. Suggests and applies enhancements or adjustments in operational sequences, equipment usage, and related processes.
  4. Oversees assigned operations to ensure alignment with current project timelines and established quality criteria.
  5. Leads initiatives concerning the acquisition or construction of new machinery or the upgrading of existing production and processing tools.
  6. Advises on manufacturing methods during the design phase of new products; proposes design alterations or process improvements.
  7. Collaborates with clients and suppliers to ascertain application specifications.
  8. Oversees the installation of new tools, fixtures, and machinery within the facility.
  9. Tracks and reports on facility performance metrics, including safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
  10. Handles a comprehensive range of managerial duties, which may encompass: recruitment, coaching, employee development, work planning, task assignment, EEO/AA compliance, performance evaluation, and departmental budgeting.
  11. Undertakes additional responsibilities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth understanding of engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing production and cell development.
  • Proficient in interpreting computer-aided designs and schematics.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a proven ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Fluency in English and the primary language relevant to the area of responsibility.
Educational Background

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required.

Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of seven years of engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
