Position Summary

The IT Project Management Specialist will support the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the organization and execution of designated small-scale projects and extensive service requests, adhering to established timelines and budgetary guidelines.

Essential Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in business, information technology, information systems management, or a related discipline, or two (2) years of relevant professional experience in project coordination for smaller projects, alongside one (1) year of experience in healthcare, financial, or clinical systems, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and techniques, including the development of plans, scope management, and change control.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Planner, Project, SharePoint, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to take initiative and manage multiple responsibilities while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consistently meets deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adjust priorities to accommodate changing deadlines or demands.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in computer systems and knowledgeable about applicant tracking systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and customer service capabilities.
  • Outstanding telephone communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with department leadership and stakeholders to outline or create project scope, objectives, and deliverables, including dependencies, project plans, budget proposals, communication strategies, timelines, and milestones.
  • Works alongside the CIO to delegate tasks and responsibilities to suitable team members based on project complexity, while monitoring project milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversees, tracks, and resolves inter-project dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests to ensure all objectives and requirements are fulfilled.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as necessary to prepare project status updates.
  • Facilitates communication with project stakeholders to clearly convey project expectations and status in a timely manner.
  • Assists the CIO in preparing and delivering presentations to key stakeholders as required.
  • Conducts post-implementation reviews and generates a recommendations report to identify both successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • May evaluate existing systems and processes for potential enhancements and implement changes as necessary, including drafting policies and procedures and providing training.
  • Organizes and participates in regular project meetings related to assigned projects.
  • Administers the project framework, structure, and charter by establishing project requirements and planning. Monitors the project budget and timeline.
  • Leads project teams to ensure that project goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
