Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician 3 to join our team at Pepsi Beverages Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for designing, programming, repairing, and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) systems used within our bottling/processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Programming: Design and program PLC systems to meet the needs of our production lines, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintain PLC systems, as well as other advanced production equipment, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular preventative maintenance on PLC systems and other equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making repairs or adjustments as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, production staff, and management to ensure seamless operation of our production lines.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: 18 years or older, with experience in electrical systems, electronics, and PLC programming.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, with a focus on PLC systems and automation.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on technical education or training in electrical or mechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with: Mechanical systems, compressors/ammonia systems, conveyers and airveyors, gearing and gear boxes, hydraulic systems, kinematics, packaging/high speed production, pneumatics, pumps, SERVO, and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
