Human Resources Specialist

Caring Home Care is in search of a meticulous and organized Human Resources Specialist to enhance our dedicated team. This is a Full-Time position reporting directly to the HR Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting background checks, pre-employment physicals, and Home Care Registry Checks prior to their start date.
- Ensure all necessary documentation for new hires is completed, signed, and dated before their commencement.
- Manage and oversee HHA training and in-service schedules effectively.
- Input new hires into the Home Care Registry and HHA Exchange, and submit relevant tax forms to the Finance Department.
- Create and maintain personnel files, including medical files, I-9 files, and CHRC files for newly hired paraprofessionals.
- Prepare identification badges for employees.
- Assist in follow-up processes regarding employment authorization.
- Conduct follow-ups with HHAs for any missing documentation and manage data updates for in-services and medical reports, including annual mandatory evaluations.
- Support the completion of employment verification and requests for job letters.
- Notify the supervisor of any issues or concerns that arise.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the HR Director or as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with HHA Exchange software.
- Familiarity with CHRC/Registry Software.
- Commitment to attending all required training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and colleagues.
