We are seeking a skilled Family Support Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing family-focused assistance and stabilizing families involved with Child Welfare or in crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Solution Based Casework model to support and stabilize families
  • Assess the safety of children through home visits
  • Collaborate with clients to address issues concerning Intimate Partner Violence, Mental Health, Substance Use, and School difficulties
  • Engage with families to promote skill acquisition and behavior change

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health)
  • 1+ years of related work experience with children and/or families preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Salary Range:

$47,500 - $52,000 per year

Hiring bonus of $1,000 after 500 worked hours
