Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Junior Accounting Specialist to become a part of our finance department. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to enhance your accounting expertise within a vibrant and encouraging atmosphere. As a Junior Accounting Specialist, you will support various accounting functions, including financial documentation, reporting, and analysis, while acquiring practical experience in the industry.

Key Duties:

General Ledger Management: Aid in the upkeep of the general ledger by entering and reconciling journal entries for daily transactions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring precision and promptness.

Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and address any discrepancies.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the creation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Expense Monitoring: Monitor and categorize company expenditures, ensuring appropriate documentation and adherence to company policies.

Data Management: Precisely enter and update financial information in accounting software.

Support Month-End Close: Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing adjusting entries and conducting financial analysis.

Audit Assistance: Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Special Projects: Engage in special projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Experience: Internship or relevant experience in accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is preferred.

Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Communication Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

Capability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Organizational Skills:

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
