Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist plays a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals by performing, assessing, and documenting both routine and advanced laboratory tests on blood and various specimens. This position encompasses key areas such as hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, and microbiology.

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will be accountable for adhering to and upholding established medical and laboratory standards. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemistry, physical science, or biological science, along with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a capacity similar to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory setting (Biology/Microbiology preferred); OR
  • An Associate's Degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent education and training; OR
  • Individuals who have been performing high complexity testing since April 24, 1995, with a high school diploma or equivalent, may continue to conduct testing for which they have documented training prior to September 1, 1997.

Certification from ASCP or another relevant licensing body is preferred.

Department: Laboratory Services

Shifts: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Hours: 40 hours per week
