Position Overview:
The Clinical Laboratory Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the healthcare team by performing, analyzing, and documenting a variety of routine and advanced laboratory tests on blood and other biological samples. This position encompasses multiple disciplines including hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, and microbiology.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct and evaluate laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with medical and laboratory standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of test results.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (preferably in Biology or Microbiology).
• Alternatively, an Associate’s Degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent training may be considered.
• Candidates with a high school diploma who have documented training in high complexity testing prior to specific cut-off dates may also be eligible.

Licensure:
• Certification from ASCP or another recognized licensing body is preferred.

Work Environment:
• Department: Laboratory
• Shift: Night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM, with scheduled rotations every other weekend and holidays.
• Total Hours: 20 hours per week.
