The Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals with patient imaging utilizing a gamma camera. This position involves the processing of data and results within the Nuclear Medicine computer system, as well as the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals to ensure high-quality examinations of various anatomical regions as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in imaging procedures using advanced nuclear medicine technology.
- Process and manage data efficiently in the Nuclear Medicine computer system.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with medical, radiology, and laboratory standards.
Qualifications:
Current certification from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Nuclear Medicine and/or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) is required. Candidates who are registry eligible must obtain registration within one year of employment. Additionally, a BLS certification is mandatory.
Work Schedule: Day shifts commencing between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
Weekly Hours: Up to 24 hours, subject to staffing requirements and coverage for benefit time.
