Exciting Opportunity for a Culinary Supervisor at St. Charles Country Club
Are you an experienced culinary professional with a flair for crafting exceptional dining experiences? If you excel in a fast-paced kitchen setting where innovation meets accuracy, this position is tailored for you.
As a Culinary Supervisor at St. Charles Country Club, you will embark on a unique culinary adventure, preparing exquisite meals in a picturesque environment. Your contributions will significantly enhance our members' dining experiences, whether for formal events or casual meals.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee kitchen staff in the daily preparation of soups, sauces, and specials, ensuring adherence to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist the Executive Chef with inventory management, pricing strategies, and food production requisitions.
- Conduct daily cost tracking to ensure accurate accounting of all kitchen items.
- Manage invoice coding and submission for timely payment processing.
- Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Support the Executive Chef in training staff, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and planning menus.
- Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and flavor in all food offerings.
- Ensure optimal staffing levels for productivity and quality control, while managing food and labor costs effectively.
- Provide recommendations for kitchen maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Prepare reports, manage employee schedules, and assist with menu costing as directed by the Executive Chef.
- Actively participate in kitchen operations as needed.
- Contribute to energy conservation initiatives within the kitchen.
- Assist with the administration of kitchen personnel benefits.
- Collaborate with dining service staff during daily briefings.
- Help maintain kitchen security, including food and supply inventories.
- Assist in the procurement, storage, and distribution of food items.
- Expedite food orders during peak service periods.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate kitchen personnel.
- Coordinate buffet setups and ensure mise en place is ready before service.
- Address member and guest feedback, assisting in resolution as needed.
- Monitor employee time cards for compliance with schedules.
- Propose ideas for operational improvements and personnel management to the Executive Chef.
- Adhere to proper sanitation practices, including personal hygiene standards.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Food safety certification is required.
The role requires:
- Prolonged standing and walking, as well as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, stretching, and reaching.
- The ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Engagement in continuous repetitive motions.
- Working in a hot, humid, and noisy kitchen environment.
