Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living is a picturesque 42-acre continuing care retirement community situated in Fairfax, Virginia. We are part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national leader in senior living and health care with campuses across multiple states.
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Culinary Supervisors who can infuse their enthusiasm for exceptional cuisine, collaboration, and culinary expertise into our upscale dining establishments. Our Signature Dining program emphasizes scratch cooking and chef-inspired culinary creations that distinguish us from our competitors.
Compensation: $60,000 Salary
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals.
- Direct the preparation and accuracy of all forecasted menu items, ensuring adherence to recipes, proper food handling, food safety, and dietary restrictions.
- Supervise the scheduling, training, and performance management of all culinary and utility staff. The Culinary Supervisor will assume all culinary responsibilities in the absence of the head chef, including staffing, food production, utility management, and kitchen sanitation.
- Ensure the organization and cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, storage spaces, and loading docks.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of full-service culinary experience.
- At least 6 months of supervisory and coaching experience.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; graduation from a certified culinary program or college is a plus.
- Must possess the ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Capability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in varying temperatures, from hot kitchens to refrigerators and freezers.
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays.
