POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food Attendant is tasked with delivering exceptional dining experiences to all patrons in a timely, courteous, and professional manner, ensuring a high standard of guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides prompt and courteous service of food and beverages to guests, adhering to established venue standards.
  • Handles all aspects of guest service, including taking and fulfilling food and drink orders while maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Processes payments from guests efficiently and courteously.
  • Follows established cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes the point-of-sale system accurately, providing correct pricing and change, while maintaining accountability for all transactions.
  • Clears and resets tables for new guests, ensuring compliance with venue standards for table settings.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of side stations, ensuring adequate supplies of dishes, silverware, and other necessary items.
  • Addresses guest inquiries and directs them to management when necessary.
  • Monitors and manages guest alcohol consumption responsibly.
  • Exhibits professional grooming and appearance at all times.
  • Keeps work areas neat and organized.
  • Performs cleaning duties as needed, including sweeping or mopping.
  • Serves ice water to guests as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

This role requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents, including policy manuals and maintenance instructions. Capable of responding to common inquiries from guests and colleagues.

MATH SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to use their hands for various tasks, reach with arms, and communicate effectively. Frequent standing and walking are necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
