Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Manager to oversee our IT operations across multiple locations. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and security of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Organizational Development
  • Promote a culture of respect and high standards within the organization.
  • Participate in agency-wide initiatives that impact IT.
  • Facilitate critical thinking and problem-solving throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to discussions that drive organizational and leadership growth.
  • Focus on achieving organizational goals and managing budgets effectively.
  • Develop staff capabilities to enhance performance.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment.
  • Engage in strategic planning for long-term objectives.
  • Assist staff in pursuing professional development opportunities.
  • Support staff in their individual growth journeys.
IT Management Duties
  • Leadership: Mentor the IT team, providing guidance for efficient operations and professional growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and implement IT strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Network Oversight: Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure regular updates and backups to safeguard data integrity.
  • Software Oversight: Supervise the installation and troubleshooting of software applications.
  • User Training: Develop training sessions for staff on new technologies.
  • Project Management: Lead various IT projects, including system upgrades.
  • Security Implementation: Establish and monitor security protocols for data protection.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT processes and systems.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors for IT services.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new staff regarding IT systems.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage the IT budget for cost-effective solutions.
  • Travel: Occasionally provide on-site support at different locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in an IT role, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
    • Experience with network administration and cloud services.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
    • Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises IT team members in accordance with organizational policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Office attendance is required.
