Position Overview:

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a leading provider of munitions and tactical solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Operations Manager to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Oversee a team responsible for conducting routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections on mechanical equipment, control systems, and power distribution systems.
  • Implement daily and weekly schedules to efficiently allocate maintenance and repair tasks, utilizing a work order system for tracking.
  • Supervise preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and calibration processes to identify wear, damage, or leaks, ensuring timely replacement of filters, belts, and lubrication of mechanical devices.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance projects.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of replacement and spare parts.
  • Lead the training and development of staff, including estimating personnel needs, assigning tasks, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies.
  • Ensure compliance with established safety procedures and regulations in all work and material handling activities.
  • Direct the work of team members and manage personnel actions related to hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures in collaboration with HR Directors and General Managers.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 7-8 years of experience in a related functional area.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates should possess:

  • Expertise in Automation Calibration, Equipment Maintenance, Failure Analysis, and Mechanical Troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Equipment Repairs, and Process Documentation.
  • Strong leadership skills and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
