This role offers a distinctive career opportunity to act as a key player in the channel business, collaborating directly with partners and customers. You will be aligned with specific regions, working closely with field teams in the designated countries. This position will equip you with expertise in our internal systems and processes that ultimately accelerate revenue generation in your region, as you engage with clients and partners to promote the complete range of VMware products and services. Your primary goal will be to enhance field sales efficiency through operational and administrative sales tasks. Successful candidates will significantly contribute to optimizing the overall customer experience while supporting the extended sales team in driving revenue.

You are expected to grasp the company's channel strategy and familiarize yourself with the partners actively engaged in your assigned region. Recognizing the key players involved and becoming proficient in the tools we utilize for generating pricing quotes will be essential. You will conduct weekly pipeline hygiene checks and play a vital role in the success of a second-tier reselling model. Within a year, you should be orchestrating efforts that contribute to revenue growth in your assigned commercial areas. You will be regarded as an ambassador of our Channel Program and a trusted advisor to our internal teams.

The responsibilities of the Sales Associate revolve around three core areas:

1. Qualifying Incoming Deal Registrations: As a Sales Associate, you will handle all incoming partner registrations for new customer initiatives within your designated territories. Your responsibility will include re-qualifying these registrations by reaching out to partners and/or customers and approving them in our systems. Building your network and strengthening relationships with VMware partners will be a crucial aspect of your role.

2. Quoting: You will assist Account Executives (AEs) in your assigned territories with the creation and editing of quotes for all active deals in the pipeline. Your contribution will be critical in driving revenue and facilitating the closure of significant deals. A collaborative spirit and a close, trusting relationship with your AEs will be vital to maximizing positive impacts on revenue and territory performance.

3. Pipeline Management: You will oversee all open, core pipelines under $50K in your assigned territories. Together with our VMware partners, you will drive all opportunities from the initial qualification stage to closure. Upselling and cross-selling will also be possible and advantageous. Through effective pipeline management, you will actively influence overall territory performance and revenue. Maintaining solid control and understanding of your pipeline will be essential, as new deals will continuously enter your pipeline.

The hiring manager for this position is Andr Leandro, DSC Commercial Manager for South EMEA, an IT professional with extensive industry experience. Andr leads a diverse team based in Barcelona that collaborates closely with extended teams across the region to maximize revenue and identify new business opportunities. He believes that hard work, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and execute are fundamental to success in any role. Andr's management style emphasizes mutual trust, encouraging innovative thinking while providing mentoring, coaching, and support as needed.

This role is based out of VMware's Barcelona HUB and is open to candidates in the surrounding area.
