Sales Operations Specialist

Compensation:
Starting at $21 to $25 per hour, based on experience, plus commission.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Role Summary:
The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for executing all facets of our sales engagement process and strategies, coordinating business activities for accounts, and implementing PARR's sales initiatives.

The primary focus of this role is to support the sales team by generating quotes, processing orders, and assisting in managing construction timelines.

The Sales Operations Specialist will receive daily guidance from the Outside Sales Representative and report to the Regional Sales Manager. Regular interactions will occur with Yard Managers and corporate staff, including the Central Purchasing Department, Account Management Team, and IT Department, as well as vendor representatives and industry partners.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction industry or knowledge of building materials is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships.
  • Proficient in using personal computers, smartphones, scanners, and other necessary equipment.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capability to implement PLC selling strategies and achieve sales targets.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers in the residential construction sector, facilitating the timely delivery of building materials to job sites.
  • Utilize and promote the PARR Bridge Strategy.
  • Set and strive to exceed personal sales and profit objectives.
  • Enhance customer relationships and ensure timely material shipments, contributing to account profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate delivery commitments.
  • Maintain customer profiles and ensure workspace cleanliness.
  • Follow best practices in order entry and delivery setup.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, and carry objects over distances.
