Assistant Clinical Director

As the Assistant Clinical Director, you will collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and/or Regional Clinical Director to offer strong leadership to clinical staff. This role supports the Clinical Director in developing clinical programs and ensures high performance by providing guidance, direction, training, assessment, and feedback to all clinical staff to meet the needs of our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant behavioral science or mental health discipline.
  • Current and unrestricted independent clinical license in the state of employment.
    Minimum of four (4) years of experience in behavioral healthcare.
  • At least three (3) years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven knowledge of effective supervision and leadership practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and oversee the activities of others, demonstrating leadership that fosters a positive work environment.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing in the state of employment and eligibility for insurance by the designated carrier.
    CPR Certification – updated as necessary.
  • Must possess a current valid driver's license in good standing in the state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier. This role requires driving for company purposes.
  • Localized travel up to 20% may be necessary.
  • MANDT/CPI Certification – updated as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engaged staff through hiring, scheduling, orientation, training, and performance management to achieve departmental goals and ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct individual and group supervision with assigned clinical staff as per professional licensing requirements.
  • Provide clinical consultation and oversight of case planning and care coordination.
  • Support and instruct the clinical team to ensure a thorough understanding of the treatment program and service delivery expectations based on individual treatment plans and clinical needs.
  • Ensure best practices by reviewing and auditing clinical documentation, organizing case presentations, and providing feedback to clinical staff to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Regularly review caseloads to ensure appropriate service utilization.
  • Manage a limited caseload as assigned.
  • Assist the clinical team in delivering clinical services when necessary (individual/group sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, etc.)
  • Ensure all clinical staff conduct individual and group sessions with clients and document all interactions in the medical record.
  • Review and sign clinical documentation to ensure thorough and appropriate records of services provided as necessary and as indicated by professional licensing.
  • Participate in regular meetings and training sessions with the team to ensure consistent communication and practices (including treatment team meetings, case presentations, etc.)
