Position:
EPIC Support Specialist - Clinic Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

The EPIC Support Specialist demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the EPIC electronic health record system and the specific workflows within the Community Care Network.

This role involves providing direct assistance during both the pre-implementation phase and the post-launch support as designated.

The EPIC Support Specialist may also undertake front desk responsibilities and clinical tasks as required within the physician practices.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
  • Prior experience with the EPIC electronic health record system is essential.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based desktop applications is necessary.
  • The EPIC Support Specialist should exhibit a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication abilities to engage with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Capability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment is required.
  • Basic knowledge of medical documentation and terminology; accurate spelling and the ability to record information precisely are essential.
  • Must be able to maintain composure and effectiveness in busy or high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and travel is expected.

If assuming Clinical Support Duties:

Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required OR current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant is necessary; six months of prior experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred; current CPR certification and TB certification must be maintained.
