About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Gummi Department at Albanese Candy. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of operational goals, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive operational excellence and efficiency
    • Lead and manage a team of department leaders and team members
    • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure they are meeting performance expectations
  • Operational Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement operational plans to meet business objectives
    • Manage production operations to meet safety, quality, and performance requirements
    • Coordinate and direct manufacturing activities and objectives with team members
  • Process Improvement and Optimization
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
    • Develop and implement lean practices to improve resource utilization
    • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with team members, department leaders, and other stakeholders
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
    • Provide regular updates and reports to management and leadership stakeholders
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive business decisions
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery
    • Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office software preferred
