OVERVIEW

The Construction Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that tasks are executed efficiently and to a high standard. Key responsibilities encompass managing suppliers and subcontractors, scheduling, budget oversight, safety compliance, and ensuring client satisfaction, all while focusing on the successful delivery of assigned projects. This position is classified as full-time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate actual production and material expenses against projected costs.
  • Engage with clients, architects, and subcontractors regarding project risks, timelines, budgets, and change management processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of all Pre-Construction documentation.
  • Review and authorize subcontractor invoices.
  • Prepare interim and final payment applications.
  • Maintain a digital filing system for project documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Plan strategically to mitigate potential issues.
  • Provide pricing for Bulletins, RFIs, ASIs, and collaborate with estimators as necessary.
  • Create Purchase Orders and draft subcontracts.
  • Work closely with superintendents and foremen to address issues as they arise.
  • Process RFIs and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage change documents effectively.
  • Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Lead and motivate the project team while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure timely completion and approval of submittals with the assistance of the Project Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certification from a recognized project management institute is preferred.
  • Experience with estimating software is advantageous.
  • Background in Construction Management or a related field is beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe, and database management systems.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and organize workload with minimal oversight.
  • Personable, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor in interactions with colleagues and clients.
  • Sound judgment and advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for site visits.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
