About the Role

Currie & Brown is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to join our team in the Lansing, MI area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex industrial and tech manufacturing construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery
  • Coordinate all necessary resources to ensure project success
  • Update project schedules and ensure alignment with client expectations
  • Oversee project management and financial management, ensuring seamless execution
  • Execute scope of work with minimal disruption to existing facility operations
  • Report project progress and risks to senior project managers and clients
  • Participate in project coordination, contractor, and scheduling meetings
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Develop project cost estimates at different funding gates
  • Collaborate with the purchasing group to obtain pricing from contractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Liaise with clients, end-users, and non-construction personnel within client organizations
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in managing complex industrial and tech manufacturing construction projects
  • Direct experience in managing equipment installation or tool installation projects
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems
  • Experience in smaller tenant improvements is a plus
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to coordinate construction projects in accordance with plans, specifications, and current standards/regulations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload
  • Strong technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
  • Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
  • PMP or similar qualifications are an advantage
  • Experience in using Smartsheet is a preference
