A prominent Financial Services Organization is seeking a skilled Information Security Engineer. This role is based in a hybrid work environment.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in Application Security Engineering or equivalent experience through work, training, military service, or education.
  • At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting within complex technical environments.
  • A minimum of 2 years implementing technical solutions in large enterprises (150K+ employees).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell for over 2 years.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries for at least 1 year.
  • Experience managing MS SQL and/or Oracle databases, including data feeds and ETL for at least 1 year.
  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of common application security risks (e.g., OWASP Top 10, SANS/CWE Top 25).
  • Experience in application development using Java, .NET (preferred), C#, JavaScript, Python, or other modern OOP languages.
  • Familiarity with automated application security testing tools, including SAST/DAST and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
  • Ability to provide strategic and tactical security guidance for secure application development.
  • Experience integrating application security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background in DevSecOps.
  • Relevant application security certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GIAC).
  • Experience integrating application security tools into enterprise vulnerability management systems.
  • Thorough understanding of secure application design principles, including authentication, authorization, logging, encryption, and secure data transmission.
  • Assistance in developing and managing security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Design and implement complex information security solutions.
  • Strong technical and business writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Mentorship experience for less experienced engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult on complex initiatives with significant impact and extensive planning for Information Security Engineering.
  • Analyze and review complex, multifaceted Information Security Engineering challenges requiring thorough evaluation.
  • Contribute to resolving intricate situations that necessitate a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate strategically with client personnel.
