WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: This position provides the chance to shape and drive the creation and execution of sophisticated cybersecurity strategies. Responsibilities include conducting risk evaluations, managing security projects, and guiding junior cybersecurity analysts. YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO SECURITY:

  • Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of current cybersecurity measures, identify deficiencies, and propose enhancements.
  • Conduct product assessments and provide strategic recommendations for new security solutions.
  • Design and execute cybersecurity initiatives aimed at mitigating identified vulnerabilities.
  • Lead penetration testing efforts to uncover weaknesses and ensure systems are fortified against potential threats.
  • Create and deliver training programs for users focused on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Oversee incident response efforts, leading initiatives to minimize the effects of security breaches and conducting forensic investigations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure security protocols align with organizational objectives.
  • Guide IT development teams on security best practices, promoting a culture of security awareness and diligence.

ARE YOU A CYBERSECURITY EXPERT?

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with practical knowledge in network and application security.
  • Familiarity with NIST information security documentation and compliance standards.
  • At least 1 year of experience in securing and assessing information management systems and security architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience in the following domains:
  • Identifying, exploiting, and remediating network and application-based vulnerabilities.
  • Network auditing and monitoring, including experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • Active Directory management.
  • Cloud security expertise, particularly in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to recommend, communicate, and track the remediation of IT security threats.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (college or technical school).
  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in IT, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity.
  • Preferred certifications:
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP)
  • Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
