Human Resources Liaison

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Representative to join our team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide administrative support and perform a variety of tasks and transactions in support of human resources.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare appointment transactions for all employee categories and visiting students
- Coordinate visa paperwork/documentation
- Support compensation reviews, salary reviews, and employee relations
- Respond to general inquiries regarding personnel policies
- Support internal training programs
- Assist with posting requisitions through PeopleFluent
- Schedule search committee activities
- Maintain databases and files
- Prepare and distribute reports
- Assist with event planning
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Three years' administrative or human resources experience, preferably in an academic environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
- Tact, diplomacy, and discretion with confidential information
- Initiative
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
A bachelor's degree, experience working with HR and payroll systems, and experience at MIT or in higher education are preferred.
