Role Overview:

The Case Manager I position offers a rewarding opportunity to engage in meaningful work that supports refugee populations in their journey towards self-sufficiency and integration into American society.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client-Centered Service Delivery: Uphold the organization's mission by ensuring a client-focused approach in all service interactions, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  2. Refugee Resettlement Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of refugee services, including the Cooperative Agreement and relevant contracts, to provide effective case management and support.
  3. Self-Sufficiency Planning: Collaborate with clients to create detailed Self-Sufficiency Plans, outlining strategies and timelines for achieving stability and independence.
  4. Needs Assessment and Referrals: Identify client needs and facilitate appropriate referrals to internal and external resources, addressing various aspects such as housing, health, and employment.
  5. Financial Guidance: Work alongside the Employment Specialist to offer personalized advice on financial responsibilities, budgeting, and planning.
  6. Collaboration: Partner with various teams and community stakeholders to ensure comprehensive service delivery to refugees.
  7. Knowledge Maintenance: Stay informed about relevant programs and guidelines to effectively support clients and ensure compliance with service delivery standards.
  8. Core Services Implementation: Provide essential services, including cultural orientation, interpretation, and assistance with applications for social services.
  9. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of all client interactions and services provided in required databases.
  10. Professional Development: Participate in training and supervision sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience in social services.
  • Ability to obtain necessary clearances and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills, with a preference for bilingual candidates.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Physical Demands:

Employees may be required to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. A valid driver's license is necessary for travel as needed.
