Position Overview:
As an Adjunct Faculty LCSW Supervisor at Azusa Pacific University, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations within the community counseling center. This role includes performing essential administrative and clerical tasks, ensuring the smooth functioning of the unit, and supporting both staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general administrative duties such as maintaining medical records, processing orders, and managing materials on the nursing unit.
- Assist nursing personnel and health care team members in their daily activities.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients and staff.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Nursing Assistant Duties:
- Provide nursing assistant support under the direct supervision of registered nurses or licensed vocational nurses.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities, both over the phone and in person, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and patient clinical documentation.
  • Proficiency in hospital computer systems for order entry, requisitions, and lab inquiries.
  • Understanding of clinical procedures and operational protocols.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Competence in clerical tasks, word processing, and general office functions.
  • Ability to read and understand English at a level necessary for following instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications:
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Completion of an accredited nursing assistant program or equivalent training.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of a unit clerk program within the first year of employment is expected.

Licensure and Certification:
- Nursing assistant certification is preferred.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
