We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Financial Counseling and Compliance team at Providence Health & Services. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of healthcare regulations and revenue cycle operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and set standards for financial assistance and financial counseling programs across Providence Health & Services
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including those related to charity care and financial assistance
- Develop and execute plans for financial assistance and revenue cycle operations
- Lead and participate in strategic efforts to improve financial counseling and compliance
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Providence Health & Services to ensure a streamlined operational experience for business and patient constituent groups
- Develop and maintain a high-performance team by ensuring staffing levels meet budget, all staff are fully trained and empowered to achieve performance and quality targets
- Oversee departmental budgets and participate in budget development, approval, and monitoring
- Bachelor's Degree in General or equivalent education/experience
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related field or equivalent education/experience
- 5 or more years of experience in revenue cycle leadership
- 5 or more years of experience in financial assistance and financial counseling operations
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations and third-party contracts pertaining to healthcare reimbursement
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to collection processes and procedures
