Associate Personnel Analyst

The California Department of Aging is seeking a highly skilled Associate Personnel Analyst to perform complex personnel work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. As a key member of the Human Resources team, the successful candidate will provide expert consultation and support in various human resources areas, including leave benefits programs, medical leave, retirement, and workers' compensation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert consultation and support in human resources areas, including leave benefits programs, medical leave, retirement, and workers' compensation.
- Independently perform complex personnel work, including analysis, research, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with Human Resources staff and other stakeholders to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on human resources policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field, with a focus on complex personnel work.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
This is a hybrid position, eligible for telework up to three days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
Special RequirementsThis position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The appointee is required to complete a Conflict of Interest Code within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
