Role of Associate Governmental Program Analyst at the Department of Conservation

As an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA), you will operate under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) within the Program Administration Unit of the Department of Conservation (DOC). This position entails managing intricate analytical assignments associated with contracting, budgeting, evaluation, and strategic planning. You will collaborate closely with program management, employing diverse analytical techniques to address complex governmental challenges, liaising with key stakeholders on various issues, providing expert consultative services, and generating essential reports. Eligibility Criteria

For those new to California state service, passing the required examination is a prerequisite for this position. Current state employees lacking transfer eligibility or list eligibility must also complete and pass the relevant examination to qualify. For examination details, please refer to CalHR's website.

Verification of Minimum Qualifications will occur prior to interviews or appointments. Failure to meet these qualifications will result in applicants being deemed inactive and ineligible for the position. Applicants may appeal such decisions with the State Personnel Board if necessary.

Educational Requirements

If educational qualifications are being utilized to satisfy the minimum requirements, unofficial transcripts must be submitted. For candidates with foreign degrees or transcripts, evaluated transcripts indicating equivalent units for foreign coursework are required. Official transcripts and foreign degree transcripts will be requested prior to appointment. If education is not a qualifying factor, submission of transcripts is not necessary. Select 'Bypass File' if no documents are required.

Note: A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is mandatory for this position. Applications that do not include a proper SOQ or fail to address all items/questions will not be considered. Work Environment

This role is based in Sacramento and may offer a hybrid telework arrangement. Candidates must reside in California and demonstrate the capability to perform job duties independently and remotely.
