Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team at Irvine Technology Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sub-portfolios and their corresponding ITEC subcommittees to promote operational excellence and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor project resources assigned to their portfolio.
  • Ensure the overall health of their sub-portfolio, providing expertise and leadership to ensure all projects remain within scope, on budget, and on schedule.
  • Provide oversight over projects and programs within their sub-portfolio, serving as an advisor and escalation point to program managers, project managers, and senior project managers.
  • Responsible for ensuring the sub-portfolio's component projects and programs are delivered within scope, according to deadlines, within budget, and adhere to quality standards set forth by leadership.
  • Develop project charters, build project work breakdown structures and schedules, develop detailed project organization charts and role/responsibility descriptions, perform meeting management, communicate progress/status and health, enforce quality management, and manage risks, issues, decisions, action items, dependencies, and changes.
  • Lead the implementation of improvement recommendations, as instructed by the PMO Director.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Over 10 years of total post-collegiate relevant professional experience.
  • 6 years of project management experience leading information technology projects, including requesting/securing approval to start projects through project closeout.
  • 5 years of coaching, mentoring, and providing day-to-day direction and support to employees.
  • 2 years implementing technology solutions in a healthcare provider environment.
  • Mastery of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management, including tools and techniques.
