Position Overview

OBJECTIVE:

The Customer Relations Specialist ("CRS") plays a crucial role in fostering strong connections with clients by managing inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a seamless experience throughout the sales, production, and shipping processes. The CRS is expected to have a foundational understanding of manufacturing operations and collaborate effectively with production teams to guarantee timely deliveries to customers. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional communication abilities, capable of adapting to shifting priorities to support the company's growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and process customer orders directly or through sales representatives.
  • Timely placement and modification of orders for materials and supplies necessary for production.
  • Engage with customers to provide updates on order status, quotes, modifications, and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to gather essential information and ensure prompt responses.
  • Manage purchase orders, oversee account credits, and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Track and adjust order timelines based on production schedules and customer feedback.
  • Update sales representatives on order progress and notify them of any potential production delays.
  • Collaborate with production teams and utilize CRM/ERP systems to ensure timely customer deliveries.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
  • Proficient in computer data entry.
  • Experience in the corrugated packaging industry is a plus.
  • Customer relations experience ranging from entry-level to five (5) years is desirable.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Outstanding communication and customer service capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adjust priorities during peak demand periods.
  • Intermediate proficiency in PC applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Capacity to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

WORKING HOURS & BENEFITS:

  • Standard workweek: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime as necessary).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Primarily involves sitting, talking, hearing, and visual tasks. Standing and walking are less frequent. Minimal lifting (10 pounds or less) may be required occasionally.
