Job Overview

We are in search of a Project Coordinator specializing in Tax Systems.

Position Summary:

JW Affinity IT is looking for a highly competent and driven Project Coordinator – Tax System. This role is pivotal in supporting and/or directing intricate system and infrastructure initiatives related to the deployment of a Property Tax Collection system. The Project Coordinator will not only aid in developing essential project and program management outputs but will also be expected to assist teams in meeting objectives, targets, and strategies alongside key stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

· Profound knowledge of the PMBOK framework, showcasing the capability to strategize and execute projects while customizing the approach as necessary.

· Exceptional skills and experience in resolving issues, influencing team members and stakeholders, navigating challenging negotiations, and managing tight deadlines for project outcomes.

· Proven deep understanding of business and technology organizations, resources, priorities, requirements, and policies.

· Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow project coordinators.

· Demonstrated leadership in executing complex programs and projects, with experience in both Waterfall and Agile Software Development Life Cycles.

· Ability to clarify ambiguous tasks and strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project.

· Organize and lead a cross-functional project team.

· Capable of guiding technical personnel to extract insights from their previous project and technical experiences.

· Ensure all commitments align with project goals and objectives.

· Exhibit a high level of customer service and empathy while adhering to project constraints.

· Promote and consistently apply standardized project methodologies, processes, and tools.

· Outstanding client-facing and internal communication abilities, with the executive presence to deliver status updates and prepare comprehensive documentation for executive review.

· Manage changes, assess information, and devise action plans to mitigate risks, minimizing delays and costs.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, IT, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

· At least 8 years of progressive experience in project management consulting, project management roles, or process improvement.

· Plans and directs technical projects pertinent to the Tax department's business processes.

· Two years of experience with PC hardware and software in a Tax environment.

· Graduation from a four-year institution with coursework in computer science or a related field, along with six years of PC hardware and software experience.

· PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential is preferred.

· Experience leading highly technical teams.

· Experience overseeing systems configuration and/or integration completed by third-party vendors.

· Experience in conducting business analysis and drafting Business Requirements Documents (BRD), along with mentoring and/or training project coordinators.

Additional Qualifications:

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Exceptional presentation and facilitation capabilities.

· Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
