Job Overview

HII Mission Technologies is in search of a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to provide support to our client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert in supporting the Navy's ATO accreditation by analyzing security scans and organizational policies while performing continuous monitoring.
  • Conduct security planning, assessments, risk analysis, and risk management.
  • Propose cybersecurity measures that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
  • Assist the Government in enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
  • Contribute to policy and documentation development supporting the Navy's RMF process.
  • Engage in the change management process, including reviewing Change Requests and assessing the security impact of proposed changes.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of authorized systems.
  • Analyze test results and validate controls.
Minimum Qualifications:

2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 0 years of experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or a similar field of study, with an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD / DoD IAT II Level certification (SEC+).
  • Background experience implementing the Navy RMF process.
  • Proficiency with various tools (ACAS, eMass, STIG Viewer, eMasster, Microsoft EXCEL).
  • Familiarity with Navy RMF, NIST SP800-53.
An active Secret Clearance with SSBI is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Zero Trust Implementation.
